Genji: "Cry your heart out tonight and get it all out of your system." Genji patted my head. (His hands are so big. It makes me feel safe. Maybe I always wanted someone to treat me this way) Genji: "You did well there." MC: *sob* "Thank you for being so nice." Genji: "Dummy, I told you, I'm your guardian angel!" MC: *giggle* *sob* Genji
Koichi takes it all in, happy to let Josuke take the lead again as they enter the lobby. Josuke licks straggling drips of ice cream from his fingers as he finishes the cone, pressing the elevator button with his cleaner knuckle. Koichi shuffles the weight of his backpack from one shoulder to the other.

Hey yaâll! Farmer Abby, aka, me, here with my second review! Koichi from In Your Arms Tonight. Letâs get this.(I saved this picture in my laptop as â Spoiler alert to how I feel about this special, special character.)The MC of this story is a 31 year old interior designer, uh, wannabe interior designer. I guess. You are pressured by your parents that it's about time to be settling down with a husband and start a family. So, to appease them, you go on an arranged date with a businessman. By the name of Koichi Natsukawa. He seems like a nice enough guy at first. He buys you new shoes when the heel snaps on yourâs, he tries his best with kids, he has a stable job. Though he doesnât open up to you much, Koichi treats you as a gentleman would. And, in a few short months, the two of you get hitched.(Only Eli oppa can express the MCâs feelings towards designing of the interior.)Alright, Iâll give a hand to this MC, she is significantly better than other MCs that Iâve played. In this route, she is patient (like woah, is she understanding!), hardworking (wanting to keep her job, even though her mother-in-law pesters her like a fly to quit.), and is pretty like most MCs, she is unsure of herself and a bit too kind for her own good. And, was it me, or did anyone else think she was kind of loose? She sleeps with Koichi in chapter 15, I think, maybe earlier? I remember feeling like they had a lot more to discuss about their relationship and their feelings before they started anything physical.(Who knows? When youâre ready, youâre ready. Koichi is a pervert too.)Koichiâs job keeps him busy. Like, him stepping out on your wedding night, because of his⊠job. Him coming home late, because of his⊠job. Sleeping in separate rooms, because of his⊠job. Not wearing his wedding ring, because of his⊠job?Eventually, to your not surprise, you find out that Koichi has another woman!(The lovely girl in the flesh, Ai. She tots bitch slaps you later in the story. Also, Ai happens to be the wife of his boss. Very clever, Koichi. Oh, wait!)You confront your dear hubby about his misdeeds. And his reasoningâŠMy reaction can only be summed up in two short you want to try and salvage the marriage you have, so you attempt to get Koichi to leave his mistress and live a happy life with you. This is where my respect really shows for the MC. While she has at least two men wooing her at all times in the story, she never once thinks about cheating on Koichi in retaliation. She stays calm and collected, only losing her cool once. The MC makes an effort to forgive and forget her slimy husbandâs sins. I think itâs sweet. Look at what she says after she accidentally hits Koichi with a rock because she thought he was a bear. I would do the same thing if I was lost in the woods, but if the rock I threw just happened to hit my cheating husband in the face, you know, I would just call it a when Koichi tries to take her handâŠYou guys wanna know what she is like?Man, it was be honest here, Koichi ruined me. I took his two-timing so personally. I found myself wondering if it was something I did or said, is it the way I look, what does that slut Ai have that I donât? He really broke my heart. That is probably why, when he asks for your support and love, close to the end I was like,I mean, Iâm happy he didnât lead you on, or try to sleep with you when you were in the dark about the adultery thing, but, what can you expect when you made me go from this,To this,The ENTIRE I would recommend Koichiâs story. Only for the changes in him that happen throughout the story. At first, Koichi is cold and detached from you, giving absolutely no Fâs if you know about Ai and him, and tells you, to your face, that he does not, and will not, love you, only viewing your marriage as a transaction. A give and take. A trade. A bargain. Slowly and slowly, his life comes crumbling down. His company finds out about the affair, he gets demoted, his father has a heart attack, his mother forces him to quit his job. The calculating man that you once knew now looks like a pathetic puppy, beaten down by life. And that makes me feel slightly better.(I swear, whenever I eat kale I turn into such a bitch.)- Farmer Abby
In Shohei Aiba's Another Story route, the protagonist makes a movie date with Koichi only for him to cancel on her at the last minute when she's already at the theater. When Aiba hears about this, he hurries to join her, claiming he finished his work sooner than he'd expected, and the two of them spend a pleasant evening seeing a movie and having dinner. It's only when they part that the protagonist realizes Aiba's going back to the office to finish all of the work he'd put on hold so that she wouldn't spend the evening alone and feeling down about being stood up. Later in Aiba's Another Story, the protagonist finally gets the chance to return the favor: she has a dinner date with Koichi, but because of a critical mistake on his part Aiba is stuck at the office pulling an all-nighter to try to correct the error. Faced with the choice between supporting her colleague or trying to build her relationship with her husband, the protagonist calls Koichi and tells him that something has come up for work, and goes back to the office to help Aiba. When Aiba tries to protest, she counters by asking if that means he's fine with her not accepting his help any more, and pointing out that their working partnership is a two-way street. At the end of Ebihara's route, the protagonist is in hospital after being hit by a car, and her unconscious mind has no defense against the despair that's been piling up over the past several months. The protagonist's dreams are haunted by images of Koichi, her parents and her in-laws, all making her decisions for her with no consideration for her feelings. Just when she's questioning whether anyone ever sees her at all, a new voice assures her that he does:Protagonist: (Thank goodness... You can hear me, right?) ???: Yeah, I hear you. Protagonist: (I'm glad... I was afraid I was alone.) ???: Don't worry. I'm with you. I'm on your side. Always. Later, we find out that Ebihara has been sneaking into the protagonist's hospital room at night to bring her flowers. The above conversation probably really did happen.
